In 2012, during one of our hikes, we ended up for lunch at restaurant “Camille” in Flassan. We were then very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the dishes and the warm welcome by the lovely young owners Camille and Richard. The yummie dessert you see here above is ‘Prunes en pâte feuilletée avec une boule de yogourt glacé…’ One would go hungry just by the sound of it 🙂
From Flassan to Carpentras
The restaurant has now moved to a larger location near Carpentras, which does feel a bit like ‘the middle of nowhere’ but that being said, it makes it even more pleasant and quiet. The restaurant is situated in a house just outside the city, surrounded by fields and vineyards. The interior and terrace are modern with a personal touch.

Delightful experience
The fresh cuisine by the young, inspired and gorgeous Camille always makes us curious. The experience was and still is nothing short of delightful! A lunch menu with a choice of fish or meat is available at a moderate price (below 20€ for starter – main course – dessert) but you can also go for the ‘à la carte’ options, all of which are equally delicious with a beautiful presentation and top quality ingredients.
Top couple
Camille is an exceptional chef who is going places. Richard has assembled a very good and affordable wine list. A fabulous experience. In short, lovely local restaurant, very fresh and simple food. Husband and wife team who are worthy of the drive!

And last but not least
The mayor of Carpentras, Mr. Francis Adolphe, is a regular customer so that must mean something! We happened to be around while he was having lunch there (see picture below) 🙂
