Pompette de bonheur à Malemort-du-Comtat!

Welcome to Restaurant ‘Pompette’!

My my, what a pleasant discovery! We already knew this restaurant, but had not met the new owners. After the change of ownership (April 2017) we were very pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied when we finally had lunch here last Saturday. The service is fashionable and effective. The menu is small so the variety of dishes is not very large, but the quality is top notch. It’s hard to say what we liked least, since we liked EVERYTHING! The unique decor, their wine / beer list, the fresh ingredients, local (bio) wines…♥

Malemort-du-Comtat, an avenue with the most gorgeous plane trees and now enriched with an authentic restaurant called “Pompette”. A super nice terrace with old bikes, colorful flowers and Provencal shutters.

But, what is the meaning of ‘Pompette’?

Tipsy!!!
So when you go to Pompette, you will always return a bit…exactly…’pompette’! 🙂

Look at this: a section of the main wall in chalkboard with wine / champagne bottles placed on a pedestal with a short description and the price! Talk about originality!

Unique interior decoration

It is of course a matter of taste. You either love it or hate it I guess. I’d rather call it a mix of ‘chique brocante’. A little more restrained inside but tastefully modernized the old way, resulting in the most beautiful effect. The interior is air conditioned. A dared mix of styles and colors but somehow it works!

Let’s eat!

Beautiful plates, well presented. The value for money is correct. Simple but refined cuisine with fresh ingredients. Everything is ‘fait maison’ (homemade) and that shows! Worth mentioning that they serve different kinds of hamburgers (great with kids!) with fries…As a Belgian fries expert I can truly confirm that these homemade fries are the best we’ve ever eaten!
Sooooooooo Yum!!!!!

Creamy courgette soup and delicious parmesan flakes
Black Angus hamburger with homemade fries
Chicken salad with a refined dressing

Make those reservations!

Especially on a warm sunny day, make sure to give them a call first to have that perfect spot on their lovely terrace… We truly recommend this cute little place because it simply is worth a visit!
