For the ones who have been following us a bit over the past few years, you will all know that we had to say goodbye to our 11 year old Diesel who passed away last December from a severe tumor on his hind leg. Diesel was to be found basically in each article of this blog, he functioned not only as our beloved pet but also as our ‘mascot’!
Meet Kasper!
We honestly thought we would be ‘petless’ for at least 6 months but nothing less was true. We ran into Kasper on facebook and immediately felt our hearts melting when we saw his cute face! Kasper is a beagle with pedigree. He was born on 20th May 2017 so he is 9 months young now and truly alive & kicking (to say the least)! 🙂 He likes to bite on truly ANYTHING he gets his teeth on but he’s even more adorable and sweet than he looks. Such a bliss to wake up for every day!
Kasper off to Provence
In a week’s time we are leaving again for our home in Provence and this is truly the moment we’ve been waiting for all winter. Even though we had an exceptional dry and sunny winter up North which allowed Kasper to meet lots of friends and to play outside, we are always very excited to return to our paradise in Provence. We wonder how the French will pronounce his Belgian name. ‘Kaspèr’ perhaps? We’ll find out! â™
Since he very often acts like a little mountain goat, jumping on any chair or table without any hesitation, we are pretty sure he will do just fine in the beautiful mountainous landscape of Venasque. Unless… he gives us his naughty look…then we know what time it is. ♥
Meanwhile in Provence…
Against all expectations, Kasper is LOVING the views from our patio. He’s up there basically all day watching the birds fly by, the cars drive by and making progress meeting all the cats of Venasque. He has a garden too downstairs that he enjoys very much but he actually prefers to be with us upstairs. Talk about having some luxurious options for our Kasper! 🙂
