Webdesign project ‘Domaine l’Ancienne École’

As entrepreneurs we have experienced it all…that one request that makes you jump up and down. The email you have been waiting for from a new customer, Domaine l’Ancienne École, requesting information and a quotation for a new WordPress website in the North Eastern corner of the Provence. A small village called Vinsobres, only 45 km away from our location but oh so different, a very positive different that is !

Portfolio

How does a request from an English couple owning a wine domain + gîtes in the Drôme end up in Holland ? Simple, through our portfolio. In 2012 we built a Wordpress website for another wine domain in the Provence called Château Unang. The owners asked us to rebuilt their old website to new modern standards and create a fresh ‘élan’. And so we did…with pleasure. These are one of the nicest assignments one can scoop 🙂

A visit to the customer

As we were still in Holland at the time of the request, the Thorburns were happy to find out that we were heading their direction anyway so that made it a bit more obvious to meet each other ‘live’. And so we paid them a visit, took a peek at their gorgeous domain and two gîtes, and enjoyed an excellent lunch paired with their refreshing Carpe Diem Rosé.

Impressions

Being able to visit your customer abroad is always a fun and exciting to do, especially to photograph. You drive through places you would otherwise maybe never visit. Vinsobres is one of the cutest little villages I’ve ever seen so also here the camera was always at hand. Be aware…the little ‘bistrot’ on the pictures below is closed on Wednesday. As usual, you can click on each photograph to enlarge…it is very worthed 🙂

Such amazing colours! You catch with your lens those small little colour-filled vignettes so professionally. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a very beautiful compliment Larry! The purple of the lavender fields next to the very green vines was quite intense that day so I was quite lucky there! Thank you for your kind comment.

Dank Petra! De kleurtjes van de lavendel en de wijnvelden onder een zonnige strakblauwe hemel doen het wel hé! 🙂
