B&B Le Vieux Bounias, heaven on earth in Provence

‘Bon-vivants’ love Provence and Provence loves ‘bon-vivants’! Simple as that! This is the PerFect description of the charming Dutch couple that runs B&B Le Vieux Bounias, enjoying good food, culinary art, art in general, good restaurants, finer wines and…CONVIVIALITY ! ? All the more a reason for Belgians and Dutchmen to come on holiday to Provence (only a 1000-1200 KM drive away) but even more so to enjoy life at its fullest in the countryside of Carpentras.

Meet Elly, Pim, JoJo and Narah!

Elly and Pim opened up their Chambres d’hôtes years ago, in a beautiful old farmhouse called Le Vieux Bounias, on an area of over 3 hectares in the countryside of Carpentras. The city centre is only 2 kilometres away though. They always had dogs but JoJo and Narah are the ones living the dream ‘doglife’ there currently. And all their guests simply ADORE them, all 4 that is! ♥♥♥♥

CarPenTras

At the foot of the Mont Ventoux, north from Avignon and towards the center of the Vaucluse department, Carpentras is a large Provencal town with a rich natural built heritage: the agricultural landscape of the plain, the unique nature reserve of the Mont Ventoux, the limestone massif of the Dentelles…they all offer scenic roads and unspoilt wilderness trails, while the old center is full of beautiful architectural surprises! In the vicinity of Carpentras you can undertake numerous activities. The Friday Carpentras market is the largest market of the Vaucluse and offers you an extensive range of specialties from the area. And the Sunday brocante market is also a true MUST-DO!

Hospitality and Conviviality

These are the two words that describe Le Vieux Bounias at its best. Upon arrival, whether as a guest of the B&B or for apéro, the wine glasses and filled wine jars are always ready on the large kitchen table. And since Pim is a very positive man and looks at the bright side of life, you will understand that your glass will never be empty. Only the bottles! 🙂
