Pitstop @ ‘Domaine Terres de Solence’

2-1

We live quite close to Domaine Solence but somehow never took the time to stop by for a visit. Having two wine lovers over from Virginia USA, we thought this was THE perfect occasion for a small tasting… 🙂

Winemakers ‘from the soul’

This is above all a ‘couple project’.  Anne-Marie, agronomist and daughter of an Aveyron breeder. Jean Luc, oenologist and son of a Provencal winemaker. They both love nature and like to spread around their ‘joie de vivre’ that you can take home in their bottles AND glasses !

Their approach toward organic farming leads them today to one key word in their choices… consistency.
It is their objective to produce wine by limiting their impact on the environment through better energy management, a quality relationship with customers and suppliers, and making eco-responsible choices.

Charming Anne-Marie explaining…

They purchased the domain in 1993 and started from the beginning biological work in the vineyards. Since 1995 being certified “culture biologique” by ECOCERT and since 2010 as “biodynamique”. The domain covers 12 ha of which some parcels were planted in 1928 !

Caveau & Home

The caveau adjoining the house on the edge of a wooded hill surrounded by olive terraces and vines mark a conscious choice where private and professional life mingle with a harmonious quality of life.

Tasting impressions

What I like most about this tasting room is the mix of authentic and modern with a very clean feel to it. Love it !

I think Jackie liked this one !
Diesel wondering if this was ever going to end !
