Preparation
For the ones following this blog, you all are aware in the meantime that our dog Diesel is an important part of our ‘family’. Taking our dog from a cold to a hot country took some preparation. We visited the vet in the Netherlands before our departure to Provence and made sure he had all his shots, his passport up-to-date and the necessary advice on how to deal with him in a different country. That being said, meet Mr. ‘Diézèl’ !
Petfood
Of course we brought some of his regular food but at a certain moment, and a bit faster than we thought, that was finished so we needed to be on the lookout for a petplace. As you can see on the picture below…he went really HUNGRY ! :) We already did some online research back in Holland where I bumped into Promodog. Mainly because the shop is only 10km from our place so very reachable and their selection and rates seemed very ok. It just felt good to go there.
Promodog
The company Promodog was created in 1995 in Pernes-les-Fontaines. In 1998, the company opened a second point of sale: ‘Cent Mille Pattes’ in Orange. This development of the company has helped to modernize and recruit 10 employees.
In 2010, management chose to promote the French production and launched their own brand Prestium. As qualitative as other well known brands such as Royal Canin but many times cheaper. Beginning 2015, the webshop for petfood was launched, both for individuals and companies, all over France.
However, I prefer to visit their shop personally because it is their honest advice and their lovely and helpful personnel (including the manager) that makes them really stand out !
They sell a wide selection of petfood that is hypoallergenic, lightweight, digestive for dogs, puppies, kittens and cats of all breeds of small, medium or large sizes. They offer dogfood with duck, a tasty and digestible meat for your puppy or adult dog, but also with salmon, lamb or chicken. And of course, some mini ‘biscuits’ to reward them while training.

Impressions
As usual, I never finish an article without adding some extra snapshots of, in this case, lovely dogs & cats, all caught during our stay in Provence…some of them we know personally, others were just too irresistible !
